About Me

My research activity mainly concerns the integration of high-level knowledge into models for fine-grained visual recognition, ranging from a priori knowledge encoded through computational ontologies to more implicit human involvement based on the use of saliency maps. In the past, I have also worked with video object segmentation combined with perceptual organization in real-world unconstrained scenarios.
I have a various background thanks to my classical studies along with my engineering master, so I always try to find original solutions to the problems I take on.
I love travelling (I aim at putting a pin on each state in my travel map), reading books and watching movies as much as I can.
